  • Job Description
    • Job Objectives

The Gaza Pediatric Amputee Coordinator (GPAC) is a one-year position responsible for leading all aspects of the project in Gaza for children suffering from congenital and traumatic amputations.

    • Detailed Tasks & Responsibilities
  1. Identify all amputees under the age of 18 years in the Gaza Strip in need of medical care/attention;
  2. Manage the basic day to day medical needs of all pediatric amputees in the Gaza Strip relating to appointments, materials, one-time and continuous support, and follow-up;
  3. Ensure that every amputee has an up-to-date medical and social profile in database;
  4. Provide technical and logistical support to all  medical professionals who travel to the region to assist the amputees;
  5. Lead the management of the prosthetic or rehabilitation missions, including coordination between patients/families, hospitals/centers, staff, and  volunteers before, during, and after the mission;
  6. Lead the planning and implementation of the projects’ activities including summer camp, mental health, and workshops;
  7. Support the preparation amputees who will travel for care;;
  8. Steer the need, tracking and use of all purchased and donated prosthetic components and materials for use locally;
  9. Represent and communicate with local stakeholders regarding PCRF’s mission and project;
  10. Provide guidance and input pertaining to all amputee-related projects in the Gaza Strip;
  11. Prepare and submit weekly and monthly M&E reports on the project development;
  • Skills/Qualifications
    • Minimum Skill Requirements
  1. BA Degree in Health care, Public Health Studies, Humanities, Business Administration, or any related field;
  2. Fluency in using Google, other online platforms, as needed;
  3. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems;
  4. Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information;
  5. Ability to manage different tasks at one time and meeting strict deadlines.

  1. Fluent in written and spoken Arabic and English languages;
  2. Accurately prepares written correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective and professional across languages;
  3. Listens to others and accepts input from team members.
  4. Dress and speaks in a professional and polite manner to all volunteers, staff, beneficiaries, and others.
