MEAL Officer
Red Crescent Society for Gaza Strip (RCS4GS) Is an independent non-profit organization established in 1969 and started to work in 1972 licensed by Ministry of interior in 2003 under registry No. 1901, with support by Ministry of education and Ministry of health for relevant programs.
Red Crescent Society for Gaza Strip is (RCS4GS) concerned with democracy, development and relief work. Currently, it provides multisectoral services include health, cultural, educational and humanitarian services to all needy citizens in the Gaza Strip. RCS-Gaza is a development civil society organization that seeks to contribute to enhancing the health, education, cultural and social conditions of the local communities through quality comprehensive programs, built upon the principles of justice and equality
RCS4GS is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the position of:
- Position: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer (MEAL Officer)
- Type: Full time contract.
- Place: Red Crescent Society for Gaza Strip – Field Office and branches

- Salary: 1000 $
- Contract period: 1 year
Job Description:
- Responsible for the implementation of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) framework for the organization’s projects/programs and contribute to the design and implementation of related core M&E research and development activities of RCS4GS
- Specifically, the MEAL Officer will work on:
- Establishing A MEAL system, including designing a framework for the monitoring, evaluation, accountability and Learning of the RCS4GS project/program activities and defining methodologies for collecting data that will be used for monitoring the effective implementation of the RCS4GS projects/programs
- Working closely with all RCS4GS and partners’ teams to ensure timely and accurate collection of data required for regular updating of the relevant Indicators that will be used to assess the progress of implementation of the RCS4GS projects/programs
- Conducting on a regular basis an internal monitoring and evaluation of results and impact of the projects, and preparing reports on implementation progress, including problems, and making recommendations for corrective measures.
- Undertake periodical monitoring and evaluation with key actors at different levels as well as document and systematize good practices and lessons learned from the community engagement mechanisms used by RCS4GS like feedback mechanisms, complaints, community meetings and FGDs, and note identifying key recommendations for improvement programing.
Job Requirements
- Degree in health, social science, management information system, statistics, or any other related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in MEAL position
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis including questionnaires, focus groups and interviews tools.
- Demonstrated skills in training and MEAL capacity development of field staff.
- Good command of Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Competence in SPSS statistics software packages.
- Experience working with NGOs
- Professional proficiency in Arabic and English is mandatory
- Age is not more than 40 years
