Project Coordinator
The Women’s Affairs Technical Committee (WATC), was established in 1992, as a coalition of women’s grassroots committees and organizations. It strives for the empowerment of women economically and socio-politically with the aim of achieving social justice.
Project Coordinator(Full-time)
Location: Gaza Strip
project duration: 6 months.
WATC will carry out a project in cooperation with the Central Elections Committee (CEC)entitled “Empowering and enhancing women’s participation in local councils”.
WATC is looking for a competent and experienced project coordinator to work in the project. The project coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the project activities and rendering timely support for the project. The project coordinator should work in compliance with WATC values, rules, and regulations.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the daily follow of the project activities in accordance with the project plans and reference documents.
- Prepare a detailed action plan and responsible for monitoring the implementation of these plans in coordination with the direct supervisor.
- Render timely support for the project staff under his direct supervision and ensure the effective management of resources to serve the objectives of the project in compliance with WATC rules and regulations.
- Plan for and implement regular field visits to monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary and in coordination with the direct supervisor to ensure the successful completion and achievement of results.
- Ensure the proper documentation of the project activities and develop the necessary forms and records to ensure the smooth and timely sharing of information.
- Prepare regular progress reports, interim and final narrative reports with high quality and in a timely manner.
- Provide a close follow up for the project expenditures to ensure the effective and appropriate utilization of funding.
- Document all project findings, outcomes and recommendations
- Perform any other tasks as requested by the direct supervisor.
Essential Experiences and Competencies:
- At least BA in project management, media, English language or any other relevant fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a project coordination preferably related to women’s political participation, elections.
- Strong knowledge of project cycle management and core humanitarian standards (CHS)
- Excellent written and spoken English Language.
- Strong reporting skills and ability to prepare quality narrative reports.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Highly organized, reliable attention to details, and ability to work independently or in team as necessary.
- Mature work practices, highly motivated and able to make sound judgments.
- Advance computer literacy.
- Strong team management and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding and commitment to WATC core values and principles.
