Admin and Finance Coordinator

Palestinian Organization for Development (POD) is a non-governmental, non-profit and independent Organization, founded in Middle governorate - Gaza Strip in 2000. POD works toward social-economic development to perform positive changes in the human life.

POD is recruiting candidates for the following position: 

 

Admin and Finance Coordinator

 

  • Title: Admin and Finance Coordinator
  • Location: POD Office, Deir Al Balah
  • Reports to:  Executive Director & Financial Manager

 

Tasks and responsibilities:

Finance:

  1. Assists in the management of the project budget by budget formulation, controlling allocations, monitoring expenditures, and preparing revisions according to the needs of the project;
  2. Generates financial reports, when needed;
  3. Ensures the effective recording and reporting system, internal control and audit follow-up and processes administrative and financial transactions in an accurate and timely way;
  4. Drafts routine correspondence related to financial and administrative matters for the signatures of Project Coordinator;
  5. Perform any other tasks required by Financial Manager.

 

Administrative:

  1. Assists in preparation of monthly project work plans, and arranges relevant planning meetings within the office and with counterparts;
  2. Facilitates preparation of project review meetings, drafts minutes of meetings;
  3. Assist in the logistical and managerial preparation for all project required supplies and equipment.
  4. Ensures that all official documents are prepared and kept in the project files for retrieval and archiving;
  5. Facilitates project activities and relevant missions, by arranging meeting schedules, coordinating logistical support, collecting reference documents, and maintaining records;
  6. Perform any other tasks required by Executive Director.


Qualifications:

  1. University degree in business administration, Accounting or other relevant filed;
  2. Minimum 3 years relevant experience in NGO accounting;
  3. knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel;
  4. Experience in using the accounting system (Golden Asseal );
  5. Excellent reporting and formal writing skills in both English & Arabic;
  6. Ability to prepare financial plans and financial analysis;
  7. Ability to work under pressure and within a team.
  8. Female candidates are strongly encouraged.
