MDM is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the position of:
Social Worker, Gaza Base (1 Position)
- Starting date: Subjective to availability of fund
- Type: Full Time Contract
- Duration: 03 Months with possibility of extension
Purpose:
Assist in the implementation of psychosocial support strategies, activities, and resources in Gaza in order to facilitate the delivery of a quality psychosocial support for individuals and their communities as well as to improve Communities’ psychosocial well-being
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical / Operational Organization
- Assist MdM Mental Health Team in planning, implementation and follow-up of MHPSS project activities implemented by MdM France staff/partners under the supervision of line Manager.
- Assess the needs of training for MdM France partners and assist in organizing and providing trainings accordingly in coordination with line Manager;
Trainings and capacity buildings
- Create training plan and Agenda
- Create training Materials
- Implement Mental Health training sessions to beneficiaries from other projects such as emergency preparedness and sexual and reproductive health projects
Field /Follow up and monitor
- Create Data Collection Tools for field use by MdM France Partners MHPSS Teams.
- Ensure that the trainees complete satisfactorily their training course, through an assessment of trainees’ attendance and of their performance
- Participate on data collection on MHPSS, and any other data needed inside partner NGO, PHCCs and/or Hospitals.
- Participate in the data collection needed for assessments and final reports
- Collaborate and participate in any field survey, data collection, and/or need assessment organized by MDM-F in relation to health.
- Keep and improve the current data collection system for MHPSS activities according with the needs of reporting.
- Analyze collected data on monthly, quarterly or Annual bases or/and as needed by MdM France Mental Health Department.
- Help on the advocacy about MHPSS
- Develop specific educational materials for technical topics and capacity building activities.
- Keep and improve the current referral system for MHPSS cases in coordination with the line manager
REQUIREMENTS
- A degree in Social Work, or in any other relevant field
- Valuable experience in self-care and stress management programs t (at least 3 years)
- Experience in individual, family and group sessions.
- Experience related to psychosocial assessment.
- Experience in Community Psychoeducation and training.
- Experience in MHPSS Interventions in Emergencies.
- Extensive experience in maintaining network activities including with, national or International NGO`s and official service providers.
- Previous work experience with international organizations
- Knowledge of MHPSS international guidelines
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Managerial skills
- To be able to work independently.
- Excellent writing skills and Computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Arabic and English (both written and spoken)

Purpose:
To ensure the implementation of MDM medical emergency programs in line with MDM medical Emergency intervention strategy and contingency plan with quality standards
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- In line with Mission Strategy, responsible of the management of the emergency projects and follow up with all partners (respecting International Standards of quality)
- Responsible for the management and supervision of the emergency technical staff
- Participates in the elaboration of the Emergency Strategy (Contribute to the diagnosis of medical Emergency needs and to the proposals elaboration
- In charge of the overall management of the MdM emergency responses and project through the Gaza strip. This includes the proper operational coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Emergency responses and projects with MdM chapters and local partners.
- Maintain the communication and collaboration of the emergency department with other departments in Gaza Base.
REQUIREMENTS
- Medical, Para-medical staff, or any related field with strong experience in development & implementation of medical programs.
- At least 3 years of work experience in project management in the field for NGOs.
- Good supervision & reporting skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Good command of English and Arabic languages (both written and spoken).
- Computer skills (word, excel, PowerPoint, statistics software…).

Purpose:
To support the implementation and follow-up of MDM Mental Health and psychosocial projects which aim to strengthen Mental Health preparedness, response and resilience of most vulnerable people living in Gaza
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- To Contribute to the implementation of the Mental Health project activities related to the up grading of local capacities to prepare and respond to MH Emergencies.
- To Assist in management of the Mental Health Department Activities
- To Support processes of assessment(s), preparation and follow-up of MH Department trainings.
- To Contribute to the creation and adaptation of training tools and needs, prior, during and after trainings
- To Support the processes of monitoring and reporting of MH Department activities including data collection, analysis and donor reporting.
- To support in the identification and preparation of logistics and administrative needs related to the MHPSS project.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Public Health/Project Management Diploma, Management or any related field with considerable experience in implementation and Follow-up of Mental Health programs.
- At least 2 years of work experience in humanitarian project management in the field for NGOs
- Capacity to organize & plan training.
- Good supervision & reporting skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Good command of English and Arabic languages (both written and spoken).

Purpose:
To support the implementation and follow-up of MDM Emergency project in Ministry of Health (MOH) Primary Health Care Centers (PHCCs) which aim to strengthen preparedness, response and resilience of most vulnerable people living in Gaza
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- To Develop and implement emergency & Quality care trainings and follow-ups of Ministry of Health (MoH) staff.
- To Contribute to implementing medical emergencies interventions
- To Support processes of assessments, preparation, planning and follow-up of emergency trainings in the targeted area of intervention
- To support in the preparation & implementation of the drills & workshops to the targeted PHCCs.
- Reporting and follow-up of project activities.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in medicine & medico-surgical emergency diploma with experience in emergency
- Previous experience at Primary Healthcare level.
- Previous experience in Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans design and implementation will be an asset.
- At least 3 years of work experience with NGOs.
- Capacity to organize & conduct training.
- Good supervision & reporting skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Good command of English and Arabic languages (both written and spoken).
- Computer skills (word, excel, PowerPoint, statistics software…).
- Experience in health information management and/or health data collection and analysis will be an asset.
