Projects Coordinator -  Ahli Arab Hospital


 Ahli Arab Hospital (AAH) is a local health not-for-profit organization, providing health care for all Gaza residents. Further, AAH implements several health projects to support vulnerable communities in particular women and children. AAH operates according to principles of strict neutrality, political and religious impartiality, and non-discrimination.

Ahli Arab Hospital is seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of projects Coordinator for a total of 12 months period (extendable) - with three months probation period. The Project Coordinator will provide overall management of all project activities. S/he will have responsibility for the representation of the project and will be responsible for the financial, HR, monitoring, and evaluation activities of the project.


Functions & Responsibilities:


The employee shall perform the duties of a Projects Coordinator in position at Ahli Arab Hospital under the guidance of the Hospital Director-General which includes the following:


  1. 1.1 Responsible for proposals writings, follow up on different projects.
  2. 1.2 Responsible for developing, planning, and implementing projects activities in coordination with donors and partners.
  3. 1.3 Develop a detailed monthly plan to track projects.
  4. 1.4 Ensure effective implementation of the Ahli projects, activities as per the overall plan and budget in the project design document.
  5. 1.5 Responsible and accountable for the performance of the project in terms of outputs, quality, efficiency, and compliance with Ahli different donors and its policies
  6. 1.6 Daily follow-ups, supervision, and guide project’s implementation work. Ensure that all implemented activities in the field are well supervised and met the required standards.
  7. 1.7 Develop and manage effective relationships with Ahli Arab Hospital, International & National Partners, and other key stakeholders.
  8. 1.8 Development of quarterly, six-monthly, and annual plans and budgets for the project implementation according to the project needs
  9. 1.9 Provide induction, training, coaching, mentoring, and advice to the supervised staff to ensure that they understand and carry out their responsibilities effectively.
  10. 1.10 Cooperate with the project technical and other staff members to ensure effectively project implementation as planned.
  11. 1.11 Carrying out a risk assessment to minimizing project risks.
  12. 1.12 Lead the development of an effective Monitoring, Evaluation Accountability & Learning (MEAL) plan in the line with overall logical framework matrix.
  13. 1.13 Responsible for reviewing and updating project work plan monthly project report and project management follow-up tool in line with the completion of targets and progress.
  14. 1.14 Responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly and final project reports.
  15. 1.15 Ensure that all needed information/figures necessary for reporting are well tracked and recorded.
  16. 1.16 Ensure that all project items are implemented and divided on time, within scope & budget in cooperation with the finance team.
  17. 1.17 Represent Ahli at health cluster, UN forums, and related ministries.


2. General responsibilities:


  1. 1 The Coordinator maintain respect at all times for confidential information
  2. 2.2 The Coordinator should follow the rule and regulations of the hospital.
  3. 2.3 The Coordinator shall not divulge any information relating to the hospital work, which may tend to injure the reputation of the hospital
  4. 2.4 The Coordinator performs other duties as assigned by Hospital Director-General.        


3. Experience and qualification:


  1. 3.1 Five years’ experience in NGOs, INGO’s and or related experience.
  2. 3.2 Master's degree in management, public health, business administration, and or any equivalent certificate.
  3. 3.3 excellent communication skills
  4. 3.4 excellent English writing and reporting skills
  5. 3.5 Ability to work under pressure
  6. 3.6 Flexibility and teamwork skills.
  7. 3.7 Good understanding of the cluster system especially health cluster and the humanitarian pole fund system/ process
