Internship opportunity 
Youth Program Assistant
 Period : 6 months (October 2021 – March 2022)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Program Intern to join our team working for Oxfam .
You will get by end of each month a pocket money of 600 USD . 

What we need you to do : 

  1. Create (with our team members) age-appropriate strategies and approaches, including identification of needed resources for the youth program, which supports young people according to Oxfam's OPT areas of focus and our global Youth Engagement Plan
  2. Contribute to finding digital solutions to make it easier for Palestinian youth to communicate with Oxfam on our interventions openly
  3. Collaborate with our team to find ways to understand and support how Palestinian formal, informal groups, movements, and activists can access our resources. And to ensure that our resources are safe, well- promoted, and encourage young Palestinian people to use them and share their feedback on ways for improvement.
  4. Establish relationships with Palestinian formal and informal youth groups, movements, activists, and external experts in areas relevant to our areas of focus
  5. Contribute to researching, creating, and testing new ideas in delivering activities to young people relevant to our areas of focus.

What we are looking for in our Youth Program Intern:

  1. Experience in creating activities for young people of diverse backgrounds, preferably applicant's membership in existing youth platforms or any youth movement. The applicant doesn't have to be a volunteer in a registered youth organization only; we are interested in experience from other forms of youth organizations and activism than registered youth organizations.
  2. Experience in researching, consulting with people of different backgrounds, and collaborating on developing ideas with others into interventions.
  3. Experience in working with collaborative, flexible, creative ways
  4. Leadership skills and creativity to independently lead initiatives.
