Position Title: Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) Focal person - Full time

Place: Bayader Office, Khan Younis
Reports To: Project Coordinator (PC)
Period: 7 Months

Plan, facilitate, and implement RCCE activities in close collaboration with the IMC RCCE consultant and relevant technical and health emergency teams in IMC Gaza
Plan, coordinate, co-produce, and disseminate RCCE materials and locally contextualized messages (audio-visual, written, and multimedia) with close ongoing collaboration and support From the IMC RCCE consultant in Gaza.
Ensure the relevance, accuracy, quality, timely dissemination, and evaluated outcomes and impact of these RCCE materials and messages.
Work with relevant IMC and stakeholders to support and build trusted community networks and multi-stakeholder partnerships that will achieve targeted and shared impact of RCCE actions.
Provide technical guidance to rapid assessments and KAP (Knowledge, Attitudes, Practices) surveys were undertaken with communities, at-risk populations, and other stakeholders.
Establish feedback mechanisms through social media, community surveys, and direct dialogues and consultations to ascertain community perceptions, knowledge, preferred and accessible communication channels, influencers, and barriers to their adoption of health-seeking behaviors.

University Degree in journalism, communications, social science, or international relations and or equivalent.
Studies or experience-based knowledge of communications techniques and media relations.
At least 2 years' experience in the field of information, public relations, communications, journalism, or in a similar field.
Experience in planning and implementing media and communications projects, preferably including the development of audio and visual materials and tools for community socialization and mobilization.
Professional writing and presentation skills, strong photographic and/or video and presentation skills are major assets.
Strong communication, and social skills
Bilingual fluency in English and Arabic.

Position Title: Community Outreach Worker - Full time

Community outreach teams will conduct community contact tracing and inform those who may have been exposed about self-quarantine, monitoring for symptoms, and next steps. Vulnerable Quarantined households will be provided with hygiene kits.
Community Outreach workers will refer suspected cases for testing at the nearest health facility or CBO with health staff trained on the use of RDTs
Community outreach workers will mobilize communities to the scheduled health services hosted at the CBOs
Community outreach workers will conduct and document structured health awareness sessions at the relevant CBOs including distribution of personal hygiene kits
Community health workers will observe all public health measures while conducting facility and community-based activities.
Community health workers will arrange and conducted household awareness visits to the vulnerable families.

Outreach workers will act as liaisons between community organizations and local citizens.
Assists in planning, organizing, and conducting community outreach programs, community events, workshops, conferences, and discussion groups to promote health education, risk reduction, and healthy behaviors according to national guidelines.
Assists customers at the counter and by phone; responds to public inquiries and education regarding health and departmental programs, healthy behaviors, and on community services, policies, processes, and procedures available through Public Health Department and other community resources.
Assists in preparing program applications, and distributing brochures, flyers, posters, and other materials for health promotion activities to the public, community agencies, and support groups.
Prepares and delivers presentations to at-risk clients on assigned health topics.
Assists in compiling and maintaining records, reports, and statistical information.
Maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, personnel records, and County information; complies with the confidentiality standards

At least diploma degree in one of the social or scientific studies with a minimum grade: Good
Ideally, an outreach worker has exceptional communication skills. Interpersonal skills that allow these professionals to build relationships
Trust within the population is very important.
Problem-solving skills that can deal with issues concerning conflicts or other problems are essential to success for an outreach worker.
Because connecting with people is the primary responsibility of an outreach worker, knowing how to make the most of an open line of communication is key.
Depending on the environment in which a worker is placed and their primary goals for being there, different techniques and methods of engagement and communication can be used.

Perform nursing procedures safely and efficiently.
Performing assessments on incoming patients for COVID-19 evaluate their symptoms and providing advice if necessary.
Identification and separation of suspected COVID-19 patients
Ensure triage process is implemented correctly to prevent COVID-19 transmission among patients and healthcare workers
Refer suspected patients to healthcare centers

Bachelor/Diploma degree in Nursing with a minimum grade: Good
A registered nurse.
At least one year of relevant work experience.
Good spoken and written English and Arabic and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Strong collaborative skills to work effectively and cooperatively with others and establish and maintain good working relationships.
Vaccinated.
Resident in Khan Younis governorate.
