1- Project field coordinator - Wefaq society

Wefaq society for women and child care is a registered independent and non-profit Palestinian NGO with the purpose of advocating women’s human rights and gender equality through Empowering Women, Information and Research, and Advocacy and Outreach programs. While implementing its strategy to fulfil its vision, wefaq is guided by international human rights principles including empowerment and participation; equality and non-discrimination; and accountability to ensure justice and dignity for women.

Within the framework of this partnership OXFAM under project “promotion of comprehensive and coordinated services for Vulnerable women and children in Rafah governorate” , wefaq is seeking to hire a competent and highly qualified field coordinator to work in its office in Rafah. The field coordinator  will report directly to WEFAQ   Director.
  • Position Title: Project field coordinator
  • Location: Rafah
  • Duration : 3 Months

Project field coordinator responsibilities:

  1.     Monitoring the daily progress of projects. 
  2.     Providing detailed updates to project managers or other stakeholders.
  3.     Ensuring team members have the supplies and resources they need to complete their assigned tasks on time and within their budget limits.
  4.     Organizing reports, invoices, contracts, and other financial files for easy access.
  5.     Planning meetings and organizing project logistics.
  6.     Performing billing and bookkeeping tasks.
  7.     Ordering necessary office supplies.
  8.     Prepare the report of the project.
  9.     Increase and enhance the capacity of WEFAQ society in CVA &Protection.
  10.     Conduct action plans and work plans for project`s activities.
  11.     Representing wefaq in cross cutting cluster if needed.
  12.     Has excellent experience in CVA and small enterprise projects.

Essential skills for a project coordinator:

  1. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to work closely with team members and managers, and effectively manage problems as they occur.
  2. Leadership: As the primary point of contact for team members, you must be able to provide guidance, feedback, and encouragement for achieving goals.
  3. Organization and time management: Managing the daily activities and needs of an entire team requires an excellent ability to multitask and effectively manage your time.  
  4. Computers and data entry: Budgets and other important documents for companies are usually created on computers and sometimes maintained in databases.
  5. Problem-solving: Although project managers may step in to handle significant problems, you should be prepared to work through and resolve minor issues without assistance.
  6. Positive attitude: Generally, a positive outlook makes it easier to handle the stress of unexpected challenges and also helps

Qualifications:

  1.  Bachelor’s degree; Masters or post-college degree desirable.
  2.  Prior experience working in a community collaborative or related project and excellent experience in cash and voucher assistance.
  3.  2+ years of project coordination and management experience.
  4.  Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills; ability to verbally express ideas assertively, clearly.
  5.  Ability to teach technology to community members and colleagues with diverse backgrounds and technology proficiencies.
  6.  Project management and leadership skills necessary to design, implement and monitor complex, multiple and multi- dimensional projects.
  7.  Excellent written communication skills required to prepare reports, project plans, and presentations.
  8.  Ability to develop strategic direction and parcel objectives into short-term tasks.
  9.  Excellent organizational skills and ability to work effectively and independently under pressure with minimal direction.
  10. Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with others to secure necessary information and cooperation from a variety of stakeholders.
  11. Well-rounded technology skills in using desktop computers, laptops, the Internet, and mobile devices with a strong interest in understanding and using technology to support health and wellness he entire team stay positive and motivated.

2- MEAL Officer - Wefaq society

The MEAL Officer will report directly to WEFAQ   Director

  • Position Title: MEAL Officer – (part-time)
  • Location: Rafah
  • Duration : 3 Months 

ABOUT THE JOB:

This position is considered one of the key supportive positions that will contribute to developing wefaq’s performance and help wefaq in fulfilling its strategic objectives.

In cooperation with the programs and other MEAL staff, the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer will support the strategic planning and implementation of all processes and activities required to improve Wefaq’s interventions and ensure that the designed intervention produce positive impact on beneficiaries’ lives.

She will additionally work with the project teams to ensure an efficient, accurate and transparent data flow from collection in the field to analysis and use, with particular focus on safeguarding and confidentiality of beneficiaries at all times.

Project field coordinator responsibilities:

  1.     Prepare MEAL system linked to Wefaq log frame and strategic plan.
  2.     Ensure that Wefaq’s annual action plan and strategic plan, including MEAL plans, data collection, measurement of performance, MEAL tools and methodologies, are achieved with high quality.
  3.     Contribute actively in reviewing the design and implementation of Wefaq’s interventions, including impact monitoring of Wefaq’s programs and projects and updating Wefaq’s MEAL system as required in cooperation with relevant staff.
  4.     Support the development of relevant and quality data collection tools for quantitative and qualitative research related to Wefaq’s programs and projects, e.g. rapid assessments, baseline/endline surveys, guides, etc.
  5.     Lead the planning and / or conducting field data collection and monitoring exercises.
  6.     Collaborate with Wefaq’s project and program teams to ensure appropriate data management for all programs.
  7.     Collaborate with project and program teams to ensure actions are taken based on MEAL findings and recommendations.
  8.     Assist in other tasks as required by Wefaq Director, including extensive support to other programs if necessary.
  9.     Develop the capacity of and provide coaching to program, project and MEAL teams in related topics to keep their performance up-to-standards.
  10.     Review Wefaq accountability mechanisms such as feedback and complain system to ensure its compliance with international standers, especially the Core Humanitarian Standers’ (CHS).
  11.     Systemize and document lessons learned, good practices, and best practices.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in social sciences, humanitarian and/or development studies, or relevant field (Master Degree is a plus)

Languages:

  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within the humanitarian field and MEAL work.

Knowledge and skills:

  1.     Vast experience in project cycle management, leading participative processes, as well as designing, planning and implementing MEAL concepts, processes and tools
  2.     Detailed knowledge of ethical issues related to project management: gender equality, leave no one behind, do no harm principles, informed consent, privacy, and confidentiality.
  3.     Very good understanding in accountability towards target groups associated systems and processes
  4.     Demonstrated knowledge of design and analysis of qualitative and quantitative research methods is required
  5.     Capacity to think critically and produce high-quality reports and analysis
  6.     Advanced level of proficiency in computer skills
  7.     Strong coaching, inter-personal, communication and leadership skills
  8. Strong planning and organizational skills
