BACKGROUND
Life and Hope Association (LHA) is a non-governmental, non-profit and independent association founded in Gaza in 1996. LHA aims at contributing to the development and empowerment its beneficiaries toward a sustainable society based on the real and active participation for the beneficiaries specially the youth, children. and vulnerable groups.
JOB SUMMARY
In partnership with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and funded by Global Affairs Canada GAC, LHA will start a project titled Resilient Families: Multi-Sectoral Humanitarian Response for Gazan Families in Crisis (2022-2023).
LHA will target 200 unemployed adults (50% female/50% male), low-skilled or unskilled, in North Gaza with temporary income generation opportunities, within the Livelihoods and Economic Recovery Program, these participants will be better able to meet their families' basic needs, including food, healthcare, and clothes, while also strengthening their skills, experience, and preparation for future shocks. to do so, LHA will provide three-month CFW placements.
LHA is recruiting candidates for the following position:
- Position Title: Livelihood Field Coordinator – Full Time
- Place: Life and Hope Association Office, Jabaliya
- Period: 12 months
- Reports to: Project Manager (PM)
- Start Date: As soon as possible
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all program activities are implemented in a timely manner and according to donor’s rules, regulations and implementation, and M&E plan.
- Support livelihoods & economic recovery programming through data collection, information management, communications support, and other relevant tasks.
- Plan and conduct regular field visits to ensure proper implementation of the activities on the ground.
- Maintain adequate administration and filing systems.
- Ensure Program Quality standards.
- Ensure accountability to project beneficiaries and local stakeholders
- Take part in a regular team, program, and staff meetings.
- Contribute to the development of new program ideas in the field of work.
- Keep tracking the financial expenses within the project budget.
- Support the dissemination of the LHA Safeguarding Policy & Code of Conduct and Ethics to staff members, project beneficiaries, employers, service providers, and relevant community members, including mechanisms to safely make reports or provide feedback and ensure compliance with this policy and immediately notify supervisor of any concerns.
- Perform any other tasks and duties as necessary throughout the life of the program
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in international development, business administration, economics, sociology, or related field.
- Minimum three years’ experience in program/project management.
- Work experience in livelihoods and economic recovery programs.
- Good writing and communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel).
- Understands and works with local contexts (operational and cultural).
- She/he must be Resident of North or Gaza governorates.
