Chemonics International is seeking candidates for long-term and short-term positions for the anticipated USAID-funded West Bank/Gaza Active Citizenry program. Key recruit areas include:
Capacity Building Managers (multiple, across the West Bank and Gaza):
Roles and Responsibilities:
Oversee the design and implementation of the capacity strengthening process of Palestinian NGOs and CBOs in different areas including internal governance, management, programming, financial management, monitoring and evaluation, and selected technical areas, including advocacy, social inclusion, and media. Participates in the design and implementation of activities with partner organizations. Responsibility for providing technical assistance to ensure that program activities are designed and implemented with proper consideration for issues related to inclusion of women, youth, the disabled, and other underrepresented groups from across the West Bank and Gaza. Candidates may be selected to focus on one or more subsectors, based on need and experience
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with implementing similar capacity strengthening programs in the Palestinian civil society or related sector is essential, including a demonstrated personal and professional commitment to advocating for adherence to the rule of law, democratic values, and the full empowerment of women, youth, the disabled, and other underrepresented groups in Palestinian society. Experience managing donor-funded programs, including understanding of grant-making systems, is an asset but not required. Arabic and English language skills are required. Various positions based in West Bank and Gaza.
