FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF MEDIA COVERAGE OFFICER

- Primary Assignment Location: Al-Kuwait Development Center and Technology
- Incubator (UCASTI) - University College of Applied Sciences (UCAS)
- Aoun Al-Shawa Street, Tel Al-Hawa, Gaza, Palestine
- Duration: 1-year contract, renewable based on Funds availability.
BACKGROUND
Kuwait Development Center & Technology Incubator is an integrated work system that aims at supporting young entrepreneurs to lay down the cornerstones in research and e-marketing fields. It will operate according to a successful model that would promote economic development by implementing entrepreneurial projects in various fields and sectors.
There is a strong need to hire a media coverage officer working full time under the Media unit of UCASTI to support and strengthen the working team. The Media coverage officer is expected to directly report to the Programs' Director in UCASTI and work closely with other media officers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The main responsibilities for the media coverage officer are preparing media materials that will be posted on the different social media platforms, taking pictures, designing posts, and sharing videos. He/She will participate in the efforts to advertise the different stages of projects to the audience online.
The responsibilities of the selected Media coverage officer are as listed below:
- Writing reports and preparing success stories about the incubator and the incubated start-ups.
- Preparing reports on events and activities and publishing them on the incubator's website and social media accounts.
- Writing and editing all annual and periodic reports related to the incubator's achievements and making them available for publication as required.
- Preparing the incubator's media materials in Arabic and English.
- Publishing articles and reports about the incubator on media, newspapers and magazines.
- Preparing plans, reports and other related tasks.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
- University degree in media, journalism, or any related field.
- Minimum Two-Year’ experience in preparing and writing media reports.
- Proficiency in writing of articles, news, success stories and other types of writing.
- Good knowledge of search engine optimization.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office and excellent knowledge of computer software.
- Possess a high level of communication and networking skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to attend to details, to successfully manage and administer a complex workload within the deadlines specified.
- High level of English and Arabic proficiency: reading, writing and speaking.
