Child Protection Case Manager - IMC

International Medical corps is currently looking for: Child Protection Case Manager (2).
- Capacity: Full Time Contract
- Duration: 10 months with the potential for extension depending on available funding
- Location: Gaza City.

Scope of Work/Deliverables:
Individual Support:
- Receive cases referred by other departments of IMC, service providers and agencies as per the CP sub-Sector’s Standard Operational Procedures and Referral Pathways.
- During the interview, collect quantitative and qualitative data to analyze the situation and needs in order to define the most appropriate responses.
- Prioritize cases according to risk level and based on vulnerability criteria.
- Provide essential information on available services and support survivors in navigating the referral pathways and accessing services
- Identify concerns related to and support adherence to CP referral protocols and CP guiding principles.
- Always protect the privacy and the confidentiality of the case and of the individuals, adhering to the data protection standards of IMC.
- Conduct regular contacts of the selected beneficiaries to follow up on the progress and facilitate the good referral when needed.
- Ensure that progress is regularly reviewed.
- Handling child case management, service plans, review case progress and determine case closure.
- Coordinating and providing care that is safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and client centered.
- Refer children to other institutions for further appropriate assistance, when necessary, to propose the best support available.
- Helping cases achieve wellness and autonomy.
- Provide training on child protection topics.
- Submit monthly report about the activities and actions done.
- Produce case studies and success stories of children through case management.
Assessment
- Participate when needed in project assessments: surveys, data collection, filling questionnaires and forms, data entry, conducting interviews, FGD, etc.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Regularly ask the feedback and the level of satisfaction of the beneficiaries to adapt the support.
- Follow up the external referrals to other service providers and ensure that the takeover is done as fast as possible.
- 0rganize post distribution monitoring report to evaluate the satisfaction with the distribution, assistance process and to analyze the adequacy of the support.
- Update the CP documentation regularly and ensure appropriate follow up and action.
Coordination, Meeting & Representation
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders including community leaders and other humanitarian partners and service providers.
- Participate in case-discussion meetings with the CP Case Management Supervisor and, when necessary, involve other IMC departments or agencies.
- Ensure communication and coordination with other departments / team about internal referrals.
Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in psychology or social works or another related field. (BA or Masters)
- At least 3 years of experience in similar positions.
- Demonstrated experience in assessment, case management and counselling skills with children and adults.
- Previous experience and knowledge of Child Protection Programming.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with children who have protection concerns
- Experience in or commitment to, working with individuals and families from different backgrounds and/or diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Knowledge and interest of gender issues and ability to mainstream gender considerations into programming.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Very good listening and facilitation skills – capable of managing and facilitating group discussions. with program participants, local officials, partners and all levels of staff.
