Job Summary:
The Data & Information Management Field Officer will support project data and information management by working directly with local partners and community members, in support of Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) work to serve the poor and vulnerable. The successful candidate will contribute to support program quality and project monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) with a thorough and service-oriented approach that enables communities to feed into and benefit from a project that consistently applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of the project for the people we serve.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the monitoring and evaluation ofproject activities at the field level, ensuring that monitoring schedules are met as per the detailed activity plan, and that adherence to systems for quality project implementation are strengthened.
- Compile project information and data as per project requirements and contribute to the preparation of reports.
- Support the development and oversight of data collection and analysis tools and data management systems, including the design of these tools and systems using ICT4D solutions. Ensure that these solutions meet the needs of all team members, including program management.
- Strengthen data quality and program quality through data review and cleaning, information management and version control, and data quality checks and assessments.
- Coordinate communication and facilitate information sharing among the project team, implementing partners, and project beneficiaries at the community level to assist local partners in strengthening their monitoring systems and accountability to participants and communities.
- Support actively seeking and responding to feedback from all members of targeted communities and other stakeholders as defined by the Feedback, Complaints and Response Mechanism (FCRM).
- Support the dissemination of the CRS Safeguarding Policy & Code of Conduct and Ethics to local implementing partners, project beneficiaries, and relevant community members, including mechanisms to safely make report or provide feedback; ensure compliance with this policy, including review of and response to feedback and complaints, and immediately notify supervisor of any
- In coordination with the project team support MEAL-related capacity building events for community representatives.
- Contribute to project learning by preparing data for quarterly and annual reflection events and supporting learning to action discussions and after-action reviews.
Typical Background, Experience & Requirements:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, required
- Minimum two (2) years of NGO or community mobilization work experience, required
- Demonstrated experience in data and information management required; familiarity with CommCare and Power BI preferred
- Experience working with partners and participating in community-engagement activities, required
- Proficiency using MS Windows, MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and ICT4D systems, required

- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups
- Good relationships management skills with ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Organized, proactive, results-oriented, and service-oriented
Required/Desired Foreign Language: Strong written and oral English and Arabic required.
Travel Required: Travel in Gaza required regularly.
