Inter-organizational Relationship Consultant - International Medical Corps

International Medical corps is currently looking for: Inter-organizational Relationship Consultant

- Location: Gaza City.
Scope of Work/Deliverables:
Specifically, this would include:
- Documenting the historical development of the CBOs and NGOs
- Documenting the direct organizational development benefits to CBO and NGO partners arising from their contract with IMC
- Identifying additional indirect benefits experienced by CBO and NGO partners through association with IMC
- Documenting the benefits and limitations of having local partners involved in the design and implementation of IMC’s programs
- Documenting expectations and aspirations of local partners (in association or independent of IMC)
Data collection methods would likely involve some documentary review with a primary focus on key informant interviews with CBO/NGO partners and IMC-Gaza Program and Leadership. Data collection would be conducted primarily in Gaza and travel to partner institutions to understand the key issues comprehensively. Outputs would ideally be a presentation, report, and publication in a development or management journal on the unique operational environment. An agreement would need to be reached with each CBO and NGO partner involved about their participation in the study.
The ideal consultant would have experience conducting evaluation research and an interest in the intersection between development and management research. Preference would be for candidates who have experience working in oPt, are fluent in Arabic, and are familiar with Gaza contexts.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Typically, a Ph.D. degree in social sciences, public health, strategic management, or international development, with experience or background in qualitative research
- Typically, 5+ years of relevant and progressive experience inter-organizational relationship management field, including a minimum of 2 in LMICs, preferably in the Middle East Region
- Experience in mixed methods of qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Possess superior English writing skills--narrative reports and scientific
- Demonstrated ability to deliver a high-quality report, including publication track-record
- Ability to assemble own team of data collectors, transcribers, etc., preferably in Gaza
- Ability to balance programmatic needs and academic concern.
