Job summary:

Bayader, in partnership with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is in the process to apply for Shelter project, this project objective to repair and rehabilitation of shelters for vulnerable HHs at constant risk of exposure to weather extremes such as prevent water leakage from roofs, windows and walls, and provide adequate protection from harsh weather.

The project will target 200 vulnerable families who is having risk during extreme weather. The project will target Khan Younis and Rafah governorate

Within this anticipated project (upon the availability of fund), Bayader is recruiting candidates for the following position:

Position Title: Project Coordinator (PC) – Full time
Place: Bayader Office, Khan Younis
Reports To: Executive Director (ED).
Period: 8 Months

Key Responsibilities:

The PC will be responsible for the overall management of the project, ensuring that project activities are up to quality standards and in line with timing of the detailed implantation plan
Assist in managing the performance of the project staff in the administrative and professional levels
Follow up with project staff developments of activities.
Ensure that all project activities are implemented in a timely manner and according to donor’s rules and regulations.
Plan and conduct regular field visits to ensure proper implementation of the activities on the ground.
Prepare periodical reports as requested by Bayader and donor in consultation with the ED.
Assist in monitoring and evaluating the program by reporting to donor on the program deliverables.
Contribute to the development of new project ideas in the field of work.
Document all activities of the project and maintain an efficient project filing system including all project related documents.
Participate in planning and implementation for data collection for all project activities
Document project success stories
Keep tracking the financial expenses within the project budget
Perform any other tasks required by the ED related to the project.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Bachelor degree and Maximum master’s degree in civil or Architectural engineering with at least good grade.
Three years of professional experience in project management,
One Year experience working with NGO's.
Proven experience in similar position (project coordinator)
Experience managing staff
Knowledge of donor regulations and compliance.
Professional level in both Arabic and English language skills.
Strong reporting and formal writing skills in both English and Arabic.
Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Advanced computer literacy (MS Office Suite: Word and Excel).
Ability to work under pressure and within a team.
Resident of khan Younis governorate.

Within this anticipated project (upon the availability of fund), Bayader is recruiting candidates for the following position:

Position Title: Site Engineer (SE) – Full time

# of Position Available: 3
Place: Bayader Office, Khan Younis
Reports To: Project Coordinator (PC).
Period: 8 Months

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct social and technical assessments for potential beneficiary households
Lead consultation discussions with households to identify rehabilitation needs
Conduct regular field visits to project site locations.
Maintain up-to-date documents and records related to all aspects of duties and responsibilities.
Assist in on-going collection of data-monitoring.
Participate on conducting orientation session.
Follow up construction and rehabilitation activities.
Ensure safety and security standards of construction and rehabilitation activities.
Perform any other tasks required by the PC.
Liaising with NGO’s, client and subcontractors.
Ensure the engagement of all household members in the discussion of the rehabilitation plans.
Perform any other tasks required by the PC related to the project.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor degree in Civil or Architectural engineering with at least good grade.
Two years of professional experience in similar position and experience.
One year of experience working with NGO's.

Knowledge of donor regulations and compliance.

3- Social Worker - Bayader

Position Title: Social Worker (SW) – Part Time (70%)

# of Position Available: 3
Place: Bayader Office, Khan Younis
Reports To: Project Coordinator (PC)
Period: 8 Months

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct social assessments for potential beneficiary households.
Lead consultation discussions with households to identify rehabilitation needs in coordination with Site Engineer.
The SW will be responsible for conducting field visits to homes of nominee list to fill the social form to help identification of project beneficiaries.
Collect the necessary supportive documents from the nominee.
Participation with site engineer in the field work especially in the social field survey.
Participation on fellow up and documentation the file belongs to field survey.
Monitor the process of purchasing the Essential Household Items through the CRS E-voucher system
Map existing services in target neighborhoods to inform referral systems.
Conduct semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions, seeking meaningful engagement of all household members.
Communicate with families and beneficiaries in a clear, professional, and respectful manner.
Perform any other tasks required by the PC related to the project.

4- Project Accountant - Bayader

Within this anticipated project (upon the availability of fund), Bayader is recruiting candidates for the following position:

Position Title: Project Accountant (PA) – Part Time (50%)

# of Position Available: 1
Place: Bayader Office, Khan Younis
Reports To: Project Coordinator and Acting Financial Manager (PC)
Period: 8 Months

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the project budget-by-budget formulation, controlling allocations, monitoring expenditures, and preparing revisions according to the needs of the projects;
Recording and Bookkeeping of financial transactions includes payments, receipts and other journal entries;
Prepare payment requests and get the needed approvals. This entails control of supporting documentation for vouchers/invoices and checking for correctness of expenditure lines and budget project codes against which the payment requests are issued;
Timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, in compliance with the financial obligations stated in the signed partnership agreement;
Work closely with the Project Coordinator (budget holder) and under financial supervision of acting financial manager, for budget follow up, proposed budget reallocations, cash forecast and other issues related to purchases.
Maintain up to date archiving system for the financial reports, and staff work contracts. (both soft and hard copies);
Prepare Monthly Cash flow forecasts and the bank reconciliation;
Ensures the effective recording and reporting system, internal control and audit follow-up and processes administrative and financial transactions in an accurate and timely way;
Ability to handle different budget formats including matching activities with actual expenses alongside with vouchers and other supporting documents;
Perform any other financial tasks that could be required.
Other duties and tasks related to the project.

Academic and Professional Qualifications and Experience

University degree in Accounting, or other relevant filed with at least good grade ;
Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in similar position;
Minimum 1 year experience working with local NGOs;
Knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel;
Experience in using the accounting system (Golden Asseal );
Excellent reporting and formal writing skills in both English & Arabic;
Ability to prepare financial plans and financial analysis;
Ability to work under pressure and within a team;
Able to work under pressure and able to work within a team.
Resident of Khan Younis governorate.
