Research & Reporting Specialist - CARE Palestine
Research & Reporting Specialist (Job# 2/2022)
Summary:
The Reporting & Research Specialist will support the CO in evidence-based research to support CO resource mobilization efforts, preparing reports on issues related to Palestinian context and the CO areas of programming to be shared with relevant stakeholders.
This is a progressive non-traditional role that would suit someone with a variety of analytical and writing skills. The purpose of the position is therefore two-fold: 1. To help inform a diverse group of stakeholders, including CARE International and donors (existing and potential) of the social, political, and economic situation in Palestine, its challenges and needs of the community members; and 2. To support the CO visibility through strengthened linkages between the Programs Quality, Resource Mobilization and Communication departments. The former primarily focuses on research (extensive literature review) and synthesis of findings illustrated as regular summary reports, policy papers, and context updates targeting a broad international audience. The latter focuses on demonstrating the CO’s programmatic/thematic impact through data visualization (i.e., infographics) and thematic narratives that will be used internally and disseminated externally to CARE partners, donors and other stakeholders operating in oPt. It also includes handling data gathered by M&E officers in support of maintaining the CO database and creating meaningful interpretations and analyses for ongoing and future projects and our decision-making as a team.
