Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Works as an integral member of an Agile/DevOps cross-functional team to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle;
  2. Reviews and analyzes system specifications to identify testing requirements;
  3. Prepares test plan that covers functional, and non-functional requirements;
  4. Designs and create manual and automated test scripts for mobile and web applications;
  5. Executes test scripts (manual and automated) and review results;
  6.  Evaluates product code according to specifications, standards and applicable norms;
  7. Reports defects, bugs and errors to development teams in a precise and concise way;
  8. Reports and documents tests results for each software version;
  9.  Conducts post-release/post-implementation testing;
  10. Continuously improves testing processes and strategies to increase automation and code coverage;
  11. Writes weekly status report for management team.
  12. Performs other related duties as required.

Education

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution in information technology, information management, Information systems, computer science, computer engineering, Software engineering, or other related disciplines;

Work Experience

  1. A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in IT and software development.
  2. DevOps mindset and good understanding of continuous integration principles, including unit testing, automated deployment, real-time testing and diagnostics;
  3. Expertise in automating test cases with latest tools and frameworks (Selenium, JMeter, Katalon Studio, etc);
  4. Understanding of design patterns, UML;
  5. Solid understanding of system security and data protection best practices;

Contract Conditions.

  • The duration of the consultancy is 6 to 11 months, extendable according to performance and availability of funds.
  • Remuneration for this consultancy will be on grade 12 (1,259.40 USD) and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
  • The incumbent will be only in Gaza.
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in IT and software development.
