Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide high-level technical consultation and advice to Project Management Office (PMO) Team.
- Participate in establishing best practices, templates, policies, and tools to expand and mature the capabilities for the PMO
- Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business
- Provide leadership for projects team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
- Handle various responsibilities such as planning, scheduling, coordinating, managing all the aspects of the project.
- concurrently work on multiple projects and manage timelines, scope, budget.
- Use the tools for Agile project management such as Agile Modelling, Essential unified Process (EssUP), Dynamic Systems Development Method (DSDM), Agile Unified Process (AUP) Open Unified Process (OpenUP), Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), Velocity tracking, Feature Driven Development (FDD).
- Interact with the clients and understand their requirements.
- Communicate, facilitate, and liaison between Business Relationship Managers, technical teams, and the client/partner to manage the project's delivery and communicate accordingly.
- Maintain the project status report and record the previous reports.
- Compile historical data available with the team and present it to the senior officials and the team members working on the project.
- Present the status report of the project to the senior officials of the organization.
- Perform other duties as may be required.
Academic Qualifications:
- A university degree or master's degree from an accredited educational institution in information technology information management, Information systems, computer science, computer engineering, Software engineering, Business Administration, Management, or other
- related disciplines.
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience for bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years for a master's degree in Project management.
- Solid understanding of software development life-cycle models and expert knowledge of Agile and traditional project management principles and practices, and the ability to blend them in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
- A proven track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects using Agile methodologies, including managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams.
- Solid Experience in ServiceNow.
- Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects.
- Experience overseeing multi-function project teams with at least 10-15 team members, including Developers, Business Analysts, and QA Personnel.
- PMP certification and SCRUM MASTER certifications.
Service conditions:
- The duration of the consultancy is 6 to 11 months, extendable according to performance and availability of funds.
- Remuneration for this consultancy will be 2,500 USD depending on fund availability and qualifications and relevant experience.
- The incumbent can be in any UNRWA field of operations (Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, or West Bank).
