WASH Project Manager - Maan Development Center " Ramallah , Hebron , Bethlehem "

Job Purpose:  

The role of the Project Manager is to work with the Protection Program Team in carrying out the objectives & activities of the project, ensuring comprehensive, timely and high-quality outcomes of the assigned project.

Major Duties:

  1. Responsible for accomplishing project goals and objectives required within constraints such as time, cost and agreed quality standards.
  2. Developing a detailed implementation plan for the project.
  3. Driving and supervising the completion of tasks.
  4. Ensuring the timely implementation of activities.
  5. Monitoring, tracking, and reporting project progress both for MA'AN and for the donor.
  6. Responsible for maintaining the project budget and ensuring that spending is according to plan.
  7. Identify and manage potential and risks, taking corrective action by tackling day-to-day issues head on and reviewing how more serious issues and risks might impact on scope, schedule, quality, and cost.
  8. Responsible for bringing the project to a close, which will include creating an end of project report or evaluation document

Requirements

Job Qualifications :

BA with five years experience or MA with three years in engineering, management, project cycle management, development, or other related fields.

Skills :

  1. Demonstrated ability and experience in WASH project management and overseeing community development projects (including designing, preparing submissions to donors, monitoring, reporting, evaluating and partnership building), especially in a region with high levels of ongoing conflict.
  2. Demonstrated experience in financial management, especially of project budgets including planning, monitoring, currency exchange, acquittals, and reporting.
  3. Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation.
  4. Creativity and innovation in designing and managing new projects.
  5. Leadership abilities and experience of working successfully in a team environment, including ability to handle conflicting urgent priorities, and difficulties in working relationship with partner organisations.
  6. Excellent communication, representation, networking, administration and negotiating skills.
  7. Language proficiency (in speaking, reading, and writing) in both English and Arabic.
  8. Demonstrated knowledge, awareness and understanding of issues relating to the current context of the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
  9. Proficiency in WinWord, Excel and MS Project.

  1. Readiness to work within a team.
  2. Willingness to work under stress and a heavy workload.
  3. Ability to form good relationships with colleagues and partners.
