POSITION OVERVIEW: Element Media is looking for a skilled PHP web developer to join our team of innovative designers who are consistently raising the bar on creativity and user experiences. The ideal candidate is a talented artist with extensive technical expertise who can work alongside a team and independently in the creation, maintenance, and updates of websites for clients in a variety of industries. Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, MVC framework and other web services and program applications is essential to succeeding in this role. The web developer will have an immediate effect on our brand and that of our clients’, as well as an ongoing impact in solidifying our growing local and international reputation for stellar design.
  1. This is a full-time position (9am – 5pm, M – Th and Sat), based in our Bethlehem office.
  2. English language proficiency preferred.
  3. Salary commensurate with experience.

OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE:

  1. Create design deliverables such as sitemaps, wireframes, storyboards, mockups, and prototypes
  2. Design user interface elements such as menus, buttons, fields, tabs, widgets, and icon libraries
  3. Create cohesive and exhaustive design system and accompanying style guidelines
  4. Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with the Project Manager and developers
  5. Conduct user research and usability tests, and incorporate findings into design decisions
  6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accessibility standards, as well as general UI and UX standards
  7. Making sure that the final design product is suitable with the web responsivness pages and mobiles

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in web design, multimedia design, related field OR equivalent training or experience
  2. Minimum 1 year of experience planning and developing websites across multiple products and organizations
  3. Experience in Adobe XD, and/or Figma
  4. Experience in Responsive designs
  5. Dedication to innovative, sophisticated designs and collaborative problem solving
  6. Ability to work independently with technical guidance and creative oversight from management
  7. Upholds a very high standard of work deliverables
  8. Artistic sensibility alongside technical ability
  9. Execution/task oriented with proven time management skills
  10. A strong customer service orientation
  11. English language proficiency preferred.
