Job Title: Projects Coordinator

Reports to: General Secretary (GS)

Location: East Jerusalem – Career Advancement Center 

Contract type:Part time 50% (20 hours weekly).  

Background:

The EJ-YMCA is seeking to hire a Project, to assist in the overall projects management of the Career Advancement Center it it’s HQ Office in Jerusalem.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
  2. Undertaking project tasks as required.
  3. Organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings.
  4. Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
  5. Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
  6. Ensuring project deadlines are met.
  7. Work with the project field team to determine project changes and communicate that to the project partners.
  8. Providing administrative support as needed.
  9. Developing project strategies.
  10. Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  11. Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
  12. Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
  13. Lead and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
  14. Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.
  15. Regularly assess the results of the different projects, and participate in the development of new programmatic approaches serving the overall vision, mission and strategic goals of the CAC.
  16. Ensure projects/programs operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal YMCA policies
  17. Keep line manager and related team members informed with detailed reports.
  18. Contribute to the development of evaluation strategies/tools to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements.
  19. Contribute in determining funding needs to the CAC, and participate in the ideation sessions of developing project initiatives, and contribute to the development of project proposals.
  20. Work with the related team members to set basic schedule of CAC activities during the year.
  21. Other tasks assigned by the General Secretary

Project Coordinator Requirements:

  1. Advanced degree in business management/development or any related field.
  2. At least three years of experience in a related field.
  3. Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation/communications skills in Arabic and English.
  4. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  5. Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  6. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  7. Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
  8. Ability to work on tight deadlines.
  9. Excellent Negotiation, influencing and facilitation Skills.
  10. Strong Analytical skills.
  11. Time Management.
  12. Excellent reporting skills in both Arabic and English.
  13. Holders of Jerusalem ID.
