Transmission Operations Engineer - Ooredoo Palestine " Ramallah "
Role Summary:
The Transmission Operations engineer will be responsible for implementation, operation, and maintenance for Optical Transmission Networks.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Optical Nodes installation, commissioning and testing as per plan and standards.
- Daily operations & maintenance, health check, error check, performance monitoring of transmission links.
- Scheduling preventive maintenance for optical transmission network elements and monitor the quality of network/maintenance services.
- Co-ordinating with the Contractors/Consultants/Suppliers and service providers.
- Be able to use all testing and measuring tools and equipment.
- Analysing and classifying Faults.
- Any related duties based on business needs.
- Will be on-call 24/7/365.
Work Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/telecommunication/Network engineering.
- 2-3 years experience within the same field or telecom industry. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong knowledge of transmission standards and technologies (PDH, SDH, Metro Ethernet, MPLS, IP/MPLS, FTTH, Fiber optics).
- Hands on experience of Cisco switches and routers (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of L2/L3 protocols (CCNA is a plus)
- Strong analytical skills.
- Able to work independently and in a team.

- Proficiency in Arabic and English (oral and written). Hebrew is a plus.
