Adolescents and Youth Programme Associate
UNFPA will be implementing its 7th Country Programme 2023-2025 in Palestine which will continue to respond to the humanitarian needs of the population, bridge humanitarian and development programming, include a more sustainable response for improved resilience, and provide the technical and financial support for the implementation of the Nairobi Summit commitments made by the State of Palestine. The Adolescents and Youth Programme Associate has an instrumental role in facilitating UNFPA’s country programme and project implementation, supporting design, planning, and management, in the area of adolescents and youth, with interlinkages to areas of sexual and reproductive health and rights, and gender-based violence. The adolescent and youth programme has been strategized to achieve results in the areas of i) adolescent health and comprehensive sexuality education, ii) youth participation under the umbrella of Youth Peace and Security, and iii) UN coordination through the leadership of the UN thematic group on youth. UNFPA has a leadership role in these issues in Palestine and is keen to expand and deepen the work. The incumbent for the position will be working closely with youth networks and volunteers to ensure the active participation of young people in the acceleration of the three transformative results in Palestine.
