IT Specialist - (LRC) " Hebron , Bethlehem "
Land Research Center – LRC, is an NGO working in the fields of: Agriculture, Natural Resource Management and Researches. Based in Halhul, LRC is seeking an IT Specialist. Successful candidate will work under the supervision of the GIS and Computer department director.
Responsibilities :
- Support end-users with IT related problems in a responsive and service-oriented manner;
- Setup, management and maintenance of IT related equipment/devices;
- Monitor backup jobs to maintain a high completion success rate;
- Follow-up and maintain the organization's website, relevant subdomains, mobile apps., Facebook, YouTube and mailing list;
- Maintain excellent performance of all organization's devices and IT infrastructure by updating computer software and device drivers and firmware;
- Maintain and expand the organization's computer network, user accounts/privileges, and mail accounts;
- Coordinating and communicating with the relevant IT companies and following up the maintenance of equipment/devices and subscriptions;
- Ensure the data integrity with regard to projects and programs data;
- Provide input and recommendations to the organization surrounding hardware and software technologies and how these technologies can assist the organization being especially proactive with new technologies;
- Create and monitor software and hardware performance levels, as well as analyze, recommend, and propose alternate information processing techniques; and
- Create and manage information architectures (data, application, network, and equipment) and ensuring that the system is operational on a daily basis.
- Any other tasks- within his/her capacity- requested from his direct director.
Experience:
- B.A. IT, Management Information Systems or related degree;
- Good experiences/knowledge (5 years) in programing, databases, websites, mobile application development, MS-Office and Windows;
- Good experiences/knowledge in networks troubleshooting, Windows Server and Active Directory management;
- Self-motivated and dedication to the work;
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines;
- Ability to work within a team environment;
- Good command of English language;
- Knowledge and experience in graphic design is preferable;
- Knowledge and experience in GIS is a plus; and
- Resident of Hebron or Bethlehem governorates is a must.
