I. Background on ACTED
ACTED is an international NGO registered in France. ACTED’s vocation is to support vulnerable populations affected by wars, natural disasters and/or economic and social crises, and to accompany them in building a better future. ACTED started its activities in the occupied Palestinian territory in May 2007, through food security interventions in the West Bank and then in Gaza. ACTED is currently implementing projects funded among others by ECHO, OCHA, EU Member States and EuropeAid, which aim to protect vulnerable households in the West Bank and Gaza and to strengthen civil society actors across the occupied Palestinian territory.

In the occupied Palestinian territory, ACTED is both committed to humanitarian assistance and long-term development. ACTED strives to strengthen the economic capacities of cooperatives in rural areas, consolidate civil society organisations, and provide emergency assistance to the most vulnerable, rural communities in the West Bank and Gaza. ACTED currently seeks a Part time Stock keeper for its operations in Gaza.
III. Responsibilities
Stock management
- Ensure that stock is kept in a secure, clean and orderly environment, following the best safety and handling policies available
- Guarantee the duly physical reception and issuing of stock including assistance with loading / unloading, stock inspection
- Review and complete all stock management documents including waybills, reception voucher, stock cards
- Organize physical inventories and facilitate logistics internal audit missions.
- Review and ensure implementation of the warehouse load schedule, ensuring the appropriate coordination with external partners;
- Prepare monthly/weekly and on demand stocks and logistics movement reports.
- Ensures appropriate application of policies and systems to ensure efficiency and safe of the warehouse operations.
- Monitor the quality of supplies stored and carry out regular physical quality checks;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records and ensure that inventory reports are immediately available for management and external partners as required.
- Notify any capacity or inventory problems in a timely matter;
- Ensuring the monthly stock inventory is updated and reliable
- Ensure that that stock movement (IN & OUT) processes are respected;
- File waybill and stock reception form for each stock movement, all waybills, SRF and SEF should be recorded in clearly labeled folders;
- Create new Stock Card with Opening Balance for each new item.
- All tasks that request and guidance of the Logistic Officer.
V. Qualifications:
- Diploma degree in a relevant field.
- Ability to work independently in a multi-tasking environment.
- Ability to plan ahead and stress-resilient.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Good attitude and ability to work in a team.
- Willingness to improve skills and knowledge.
- Good IT and Microsoft Office skills.
- Valid Driving License and proving driving skills

III. Responsibilities
- Manage the petty cash in appropriate manner on a daily basis.
- Check expense receipts.
- Prepare necessary accounting documentation for approval bank transfer letter and payment voucher.
- Prepare cash and bank accountancy.
- Assist the Senior finance and admin officer to liaise with partners and help in the reporting along with the supporting documents provided by partners.
- Follow up on daily accountants then do photocopying ,scanning and filing.
- Organize and maintain paper and electronic files, folders, archives, books and any sort of documentation.
- Prepare letters based on direct supervisor request.
- Translate documents as required.
- Perform any other task as requested by the direct supervisor.
V. Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance , Accounting or any related field (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Good communications skills in both Arabic and English.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with team members.
- Very organized and structured.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to improve skills and knowledge.
- Good IT and Microsoft Office skills.
- Valid Driving License
