Women Economic Platform (WEP) Coordinator
AISHA Association for Women and Child Protection (AISHA), established in 2009, is an independent Palestinian women organization working to achieve gender integration through economic empowerment and psychosocial support to marginalized groups in the Gaza Strip with focus on Gaza City and the North area. AISHA seeks to protect women and children from violence through supporting, empowering, and raising awareness of important psychological, social, legal, and economic issues.

AISHA is considering the appointment of a qualified coordinator for the Women Economic Platform (WEP)
Women Economic Platform WEP, is an online platform as a coordination body between the Women’s rights organizations and other NGOs, private and public sector, other UN agencies and INGOs, and other interested parties of the idea of the WEP, and it’s concept to advocate to achieve the economic justice for women. Regarding the coordination task of the WEP:
Women Economic Platform (WEP) Coordinator responsibilities:
- . Responsible for operating the "Women Economic Platform WEP" platform (website) and the WEP newsletter and library
- . Ensure the coordination between the coalition 15 members on the platform and also through their meetings.
- Collect essential data from WEP members and non-members to be published in the WEP electronic tools (website, newsletter, library)
- Validating content with the project coordinator to be published on the WEP Website and the Newsletter, By verifying the reliability of the sources and their compatibility with the Palestinian context, as well as ensuring the integrity of the quotes and their attribution to the original, before sending for approval from Oxfam.
- Highly networking with members of the WEP, by arranging meetings, addressing their inquiries, and sending the requested documents and calls on the appointed deadlines.
- Archiving the WEP documents, decisions, and other official documents.
- Contribute to the planning of the WEP joint activities, contributions, and advocacy joint efforts, and Follow up on the implementation.
- Reporting on the WEP joint activities and writing the meeting minutes.
- Provide quarterly reports about the WEP progress, coalition activities and achievements to the project coordinator.
Essential Required Qualifications, Skills, knowledge and Competencies:
- At least A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in IT or Business management, social or economic studies
- Have at least 3 years’ experience in Gender and economic field. Have a good background in developing and programming online platforms and tools that qualified her/him to follow up with IT companies for any issues related to WEP platforms.
- Have an excellent background in coordination with NGOs, INGOs, and UN Bodies, Private and Public sectors.
- Well-informed on the topic of economic justice for women.
- Excellent English and Arabic writing and reporting skills (emails, letters, calls of meetings, meeting minutes, and others)
- Have excellent; communication skills, management skills, teamworking, and enjoying a high integrity and result orientation approach.
Language:
- Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic and communication skills.
