1- Field Monitor - Bayader

Job summary:

Bayader in partnership with Catholic Relief Services CRS, starts to implement multi-sectoral project which will tailor assistance to address the multifaceted needs of Gazan families, helping them to strengthen their resilience and their ability as a family to recover from various shocks through one or more of the following supports: shelter, livelihoods, and PSS. A multi-sectoral package of assistance enables CRS and partners to provide services which are tailored and responsive to each family’s unique set of needs and contribute to strengthening their resilience overall. This holistic approach enables households to stabilize the area(s) of their lives in which they are experiencing the most acute need, thus laying a foundation to better weather shocks in the future.

The project will target vulnerable households in Khan Younis and Rafah in the Gaza strip.

Bayader is seeking highly skilled staff to be hired for the following position:

  • Position Title: Field Monitor (FM)
  • Place: Bayader Office, Khan Younis
  • Reports To: Livelihood Coordinator (LC)
  • Period: 14 Months
  • Salary: ILS 2,800 (not including end of benefits)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the supervision, follow-up and monitoring of project activities in the field.
  2. Identify key local organizations, and communities to plan and jointly conduct outreach events and activities.
  3. Identify key employers and workplaces to host the project participants.
  4. Coordinate the daily progress of the project activities and provide regular on-site supervision of activities implementation.
  5. Conduct site visits and apply field visits data collection tools.
  6. Conduct regular field visits to the beneficiaries and host organization.
  7. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders and undertake monitoring activities.
  8. Contribute to the development of project work plans.
  9. Contribute to the identification of potential difficulties and determining means of lessening or avoiding them.
  10. Documenting all project phases.
  11. Perform any other tasks assigned by the LC.

Qualification and Experience:

  1. University degree in international development, Business Administration, Economics, Sociology, or related field.
  2. Minimum two years of progressively responsible work experience in similar position.
  3. Significant experience working on humanitarian assistance, livelihoods projects required.
  4. Good writing and communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  5. Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  6. Proven ability to develop progress reports.
  7. Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel).
  8. Demonstrated strengths in relationship management; able to work with diverse groups of people in a multicultural, team-oriented environment.
  9. Understands and works with local contexts (operational and cultural).
  10. Resident of Khan Younis and Rafah governorates.

2- Livelihood Coordinator - Bayader

  • Place: Bayader Office, Khan Younis
  • Reports To: Executive Director (ED)
  • Period: 15 Months, with a three-month probationary period
  • Salary: ILS 3800 (not including end of benefits)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the validation of the project’s detailed implementation plan..
  2. Administrative and technical implementation and follow up of the project activities according to the indicators and the MEAL plan.
  3. Supervision of technical and professional staff involved in the program activities that fall within his/her responsibility.
  4. Provide technical and professional support during the matching process of participants and employers.
  5. Manage the project participants’ database accurately and share the required information with the direct supervisor and the partner organization in a timely manner.
  6. Ensure that all program activities are implemented in a timely manner and according to donor’s rules and regulations.
  7. Identify key employers and workplaces to host the project participants.
  8. Plan and conduct regular field visits to ensure proper implementation of the activities on the ground
  9. Track and communicate any changes in the project implementation environment, challenges, and learning with the direct supervisor and the partner organization in a timely manner to consider any required changes to ensure the quality and timely implementation.
  10. Prepare periodical reports as requested by Bayader and the partner organization in consultation with the executive director.
  11. Contribute to the development of new program ideas in the field of work.
  12. Manage project participant’s database and document all activities of the program and maintain an efficient program filing system including all program related documents.
  13. Document project success stories and case studies.
  14. Perform any other tasks assigned by the Executive Director.

Qualification and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, or other related field with at least good grade.
  2. Three years of professional experience in project management, preferably with experience in working with NGO's and livelihoods projects.
  3. Knowledge of donor regulations.
  4. Professional level in both Arabic and English language skills.
  5. Excellent reporting and formal writing skills in both English and Arabic.
  6. Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  7. Advanced computer literacy.
  8. Ability to work under pressure and within a team.
