Molecular Genetics Laboratory Technologist
We are seeking a highly skilled Molecular Genetics Laboratory Specialist with a strong background in molecular biology and genomics. The successful candidate must have fluency in English, Experience handling human samples for DNA testing, and a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (preferably a Master’s) in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or a related field. The ability to operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Perform DNA extraction, PCR, sequencing, and analysis from human tissue samples.
- Conduct data interpretation and analysis using bioinformatics tools.
- Follow established laboratory protocols and ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards.
- Document all procedures and results in accordance with laboratory regulations.
- Collaborate with the Lab. Team to develop and implement new techniques.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external collaborators.
Qualifications:
- BSc or MSc in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or related field.
- Fluent in English – both written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated experience in handling human samples for DNA testing.
- Familiarity with molecular biology techniques such as PCR, gel electrophoresis, and DNA sequencing.
- Knowledge of bioinformatics tools for data analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
