Software Technical Lead - FIS
FIS is a leading IT and Business solutions firm based in Ramallah and Gaza that provides a blend of technology solutions for the local and international markets for over the last 24 years.
We are presently seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join our team. This role will be pivotal in analyzing client requests, offering design and programming expertise, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions to our valued customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Work using Agile methodologies such as Scrum to develop software
- Serve as primary point person and scrum team representative for interactions with product owner and developers.
- Participate in technical assessment, scoping, and management of changes to the code-base on new business requirements, product enhancements and other change requests
- Analyze requirements, to produce thoughtful software designs of moderate scope and complexity
- Maintain domain specific software knowledge of key software application features, frameworks, or components
- Lead and contribute to technical discussions in community of practice, design review, pull request, or other technical meeting forums
- Collaborate with other domain experts, such as Infrastructure, Database, and Mobile App, as the team develops features and platform enhancements
- Lead offshore teams to design and develop features, and burn down technical debt
- Adhere to coding standards and other best practices to create reusable code
- Provide mentoring and coaching to junior engineers to increase software capability of the development team
- Responsible for complying with the security requirements.
- Review team output and performance, providing valuable feedback.
- Offer functional and technical support to the development team.
- Take ownership of work estimation, solution documentation, and quality deliverables.
Required professional skills and experience
- Good organization skills for tracking several projects at the same time
- 5+ years of programming experience using Microsoft .NET and Oracle Database.
- Experience writing efficient queries and optimizing database-intensive applications
- Ability to turn high level business requirements into working applications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Excellent Spoken and Written English
- Degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Sciences.
