Duties and Responsibilities
- Documents, evaluates and tests systems, controls, governance and information processes to determine their adequacy and effectiveness, ensuring;
- Compliance with policies and procedures;
- Accomplishment of management's objectives;
- Reliability and integrity of information;
- Economical use of resources, and;
- Safeguarding of assets.
- Develops and discusses findings, recommendations and timelines for corrective actions with responsible officers of operations audited and monitors the implementation status of agreed recommendations.
- Collects, organizes, manages and disseminates information with attention to detail and accuracy, and conduct data collection and analysis using data analysis tools.
- Supervises and coaches audit team member/s throughout the assignments with the view to ensuring conformity with Institute of Internal Audit (IIA) Standards in all phases of the audit process; reviews the work of Associate Auditor during the field visit assignments and provide specific guidance to them when discussing findings of the assignments.
- Participates in the risk-based work plan assignments and prepares working papers for review by Senior Auditor as per agreed timeline, in accordance with the DIOS methodology, designed to conform with IIA Standards.
- Drafts detailed audit observations and recommendations for inclusion in reports.
Qualifications:
- An advanced university degree from an accredited educational institution in finance, accountancy, business administration, computer science or other discipline related to the main functions of the post;
- Certification of a professional body of auditors such as the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, or the Institute of Chartered or Certified Public Accountants.
Experience:
- A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible and relevant work experience in the application of the knowledge acquired with progressively responsible experience in audit or a related area such as finance, accounting, business administration, computer science with a large government, international or commercial organization are required
- Of which at least three years of professional experience at a senior management level in a large government, international or commercial organization are required.
- Working Knowledge of UN Rules, Regulations and Procedures is desired.
- Detailed understanding of The International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) quality standards and the audit quality review process is desired.
- Advanced skills in excel data analytics or proficiency in the use of other data analytics tools is desired.
- Experience in conducting IT audits and knowledge of auditing in ERP environment is desired.
- An advanced university degree from an accredited educational institution in finance, accountancy, business administration, computer science or other discipline related to the main functions of the post is required.

- Contract Type: Fixed Term Appointment for 3 years; including 1 year probation period, with the possibility of further extension, subject to the availability of funds, satisfactory performance, and continuing need.
- Grade and Salary, Grade G17 Monthly basic salary JD 1156.60 plus Special Occupational Allowance (SOA) of 69.90%% of the basic salary (SOA may change from time to time).
