Tetra Tech International Development is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a Task Order Manager position on an anticipated four-year USAID-funded program in the West Bank.

 

The purpose of this project is to improve Palestinians’ access to safe, reliable, sustainable, and climate resilient water services through: 1) the development and strengthening of the institutional capacity of the Hebron, Halhul, and Dura water utilities for sustainable, reliable, and climate-resilient water delivery service; 2) the implementation of strategic infrastructure works to support the objective of the activity; 3) the design and implementation of innovative solutions to expand the use of smart water management technologies for efficient, timely, and transparent water management; and 4) the design and implementation of innovative measures and public awareness campaigns to promote effective water governance at the utility and foster social behavioral change toward more efficient and responsible water use practices and trends.

 

The Task Order Manager will be responsible for overall project management and implementation. S/he will manage and coordinate the goals and objectives of the activity with USAID, Tetra Tech’s home office, implementation partners, and other donors. This is expected to be a full-time position based in the West Bank.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide overall management and implementation of the Task Order and will serve as the primary point of contact with USAID/West Bank & Gaza.
  2. Provide overall leadership and management of efforts to ensure the project achieves its intended outcome and results.
  3. Provide vision, direction, and leadership in working with and bringing together performance improvement and disparate technical areas.
  4. Guide day-to-day implementation and management to ensure timely, relevant, high-quality services of the Task Order.
  5. Be present at the Task Order site (West Bank) on a full time basis from the contract execution date, or no later than 21 days thereafter, and throughout the period of performance.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, public administration, water/natural resources management, or related field. Master’s degree is preferable but not required.
  2. Must have at least ten (10) years of professional experience in the management of international development projects of a comparable budget (more than $45 million) and level of complexity in the water sector.
  3. Must have a minimum of four (4) years in managing projects of a similar size and scope to that of the Task Order and in developing countries
